I am updating old art. My old art.

The idea came to me today. When I was looking through some old stuff that I made when I was a lot younger. I realised some of it is still usable. I can still stand behind the texts I wrote and the pictures I made. And, of course, some of them becomes interesting today when sat in perspective to where I am today. So. This is what I am doing now. Giving new life to old ideas. First one in the pipeline is this. Makes no sense right here but will be beautiful in it´s new form. Hopefully.

Midsommar quiz for non Swedes

Which of the following 3 traditions are practiced in Sweden on this day?

1. We get drunk & eat herring. We dance around a wood pole dressed in flowers, singing about small frogs without ears?
2. We get drunk and eat bear meat. We dance around a fire, singing about the impossible lovestory between an elk and a reindeer?
3. We get drunk & eat cake made of liver, mayonnaise and tuna. We dance around a pot of fresh potatoes singing about a limping badger?

Reinventing the wheel

There was a need for one lamp to move to another room. This left one room without a lamp. The need became: Make a new lamp!

A wheel. A red wheel.

A couple of old vinyl singles.

Cables masked with beads.

Opus III ”It’s a fine day” from 1992. Bad to listen to. Good for building a lamp.

Danish coin.

Lampshade made of tin can. Used to contain chick peas.

Beads, lampshade and steel thread.

The lamp.

From underneath.

More beads and a pingpong ball.
